Allyson Felix

Allyson Michael Felix was the Los Angeles native born on the 18th of November, 1985. Paul Felix, her father was an ordained minister at Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix worked at Balboa Magnet school for children in the elementary grades. Felix showed an early aptitude to play sports while studying at Los Angeles Baptist High School. Felix discovered her athletic talent at that time. Within 10 weeks of her first attempt, she finished in second place in the 200 meter event at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix completed her high school year in 2003 and signed with Adidas to become professional athlete. In the following year, she attended University of Southern California studying elementary education. Felix received her first Olympic medal at the Athens Summer Olympics 2004. Felix broke a junior-world record of running the 200m in 22.18. Felix was also the youngest to win the 200 meters at the World Championships that took place in Helsinki in the year 2005. She defended her title once again in 2007, defeating long-time Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix participated in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo and was consistently within the top three athletes at her particular events.
