Allyson Felix
Allyson Michelle Felix was born Los Angeles on November 18 1985. Paul Felix, her father was an ordained minister of Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix worked at Balboa Magnet school for children in the elementary grades. Felix was aware that she was gifted in running while attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. At her first attempt and placing in the top two in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships in the 200 meters in just 10 weeks. Felix signed a contract for an official career at Adidas in 2003. She later enrolled in University of Southern California to pursue a degree in elementary education. The first Olympic medal was won at the 2004 Summer Olympics which took place in Athens Greece. Felix set an international junior record the 200m race in 22.18 secs. The 2005 Helsinki World Championships saw her become the youngest woman to be crowned the winner of the 200-meter race. She defended this title and beat her Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix consistently placed within the top third of each event she competed in at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
